Today is launch day for TheWB.com, the online network of old WB shows, new online-only content, and stuff from overseas. As previously reported here back in April, shows from the WB’s glory days like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Everwood, and Gilmore Girls will be on the online network along with shows owned by the WB like Firefly, Friends, and The O.C.. If it’s new content you want, they’ve got an “instructional series” called A Boy Wearing Makeup and a show from Australia called Blue Water High. And on September 8th, Sorority Forever from McG will premiere, with more shows to be added soon. TheWB will also try to appeal to Kids These Days with the wBlender, which allows you to “remix” shows and put them on their Facebook pages for all their little friends to enjoy. TheWB has one thing going for it from the start: if they can’t do half of what they promise, they’ll still be better than The CW. TheWB.com
