WBA and WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez faces the biggest and toughest fight of his career when he faces Floyd Mayweather Jr. Yep, beating a guy like Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a tall order indeed since the guy, technically, is still the best pound for pound fighter in the world since nobody has beaten him yet. STILL, Juan Manuel Marquez is confident he will beat the undefeated pound-for-pound champion when it's time to lace up the gloves. Marquez has maintained that he is planning to upset the boxing world when he steps into the ring with 'Money' Mayweather, that's despite the fact that he is clearly disadvantaged in the upcoming bout as Mayweather stands two inches taller with a five-inch reach advantage. The fight is also scheduled to be fought at a catch-weight of 143 pounds, a comfortable weight for Mayweather, but less so for Marquez who is a natural super-featherweight (130 pound maximum) and has only had two fights at lightweight (135 pound maximum). Mayweather, the former five-division champ, hasn't stepped into the ring since knocking out Ricky Hatton in December 2007, when he was still basking in his victory over Oscar De La Hoya.
