Ghostwalk is a novel with many different ingredients: the Seventeenth Century, the modern world, Sir Isaac Newton, alchemy, academia, the supernatural, science, history, and even the plague, all blended together into a thrilling historical mystery.

Academician Elizabeth Vogelsang is found dead, Lydia Brooke is asked to finish the manuscript she had been working on about Sir Isaac Newton.

Lydia agrees to undertake the project and is swept into the world of the Seventeenth Century. Odd things begin to happen: a missing file, a bloodstain that reappears on a piece of cloth. When Lydia discovers that Elizabeth may have been on the trail of a Seventeenth-Century serial killer, the strange events become more threatening.

Ghostwalk started of a bit shakily. At first it seemed a bit choppy, and I was not impressed with the author's style. I was soon so absorbed in the story, though, that it didn't matter. IMO, Stott has a long way to go to learn the craft of writing, but she is a brilliant storyteller. Ghostwalk was spellbinding. I had a hard time putting it down.
